Newegg sold out of Q6600!

I have searched over the weekend and didn't find anybody that "for sure" has it. They talk about the tank guys still taking pre-orders (But I think they are over a thousand pre-orders) and some e-mail they got from tank-guys as of like July 20 they still hadn't even received any of the G0 stepping yet. (I guess they still think mid-Augs, to Sept). I hope not. I have seen a couple of other sites that are sold out of the q6600 and I thought that was strange.
Would it be Intel that is really controlling the product (what they ship out) or well newegg.com actually have both products?
Newegg.com places order for more q6600 intel sends newegg what they still have left? Or could newegg actually ask for the G0 stepping?

I got mine from mwave. Prolly a b3 stepping.

I talked with Newegg about an ETA for the Q6600, and they had none. It could be because they just ran out and havent placed the order for more yet. They will probably get another batch from Intel in a couple weeks, most likely any retailer you buy from now is going to have the B3 stepping. Your best bet is probably to wait for the next shipment that Newegg receives, but even that isn't a guarantee.

Something tells me we won't see GO for a while. B3 is going to be around till august at least. No one really knows how many B3 Q6600s intel had in stock.

I'm just glad I went with tankguys.

The www.mwave.com is B3. Look down the page. It states that it is B3.
