EZbackitup problems

I have had excellent regular, daily, backup of files using EZback-it-up for over a year. I have been backing up to an external drive. Recently it stopped functioning and refuses to open. When I attempt to open the program the page appears for a fraction of a second and remains dead

My neighbor is having the same problem. Did you find a solution?

I've used EZBackitup for YEARS and it has performed almost flawlessly.
