Hey guys, was just trying to throw more voltage at my core, and it seems
that whatever I set my BIOS voltage to, CPUZ is only reading 1.402 (idle) and less at load.

I was trying to get a 1.45, but even if i set BIOS to 1.5 it just won't budge from 1.402 (so its not a droop problem).

What gives?

p.s. my temps are fine 52ish (load)

Do you have any issues with the thing BSOD on you? If not, I wouldn't worry about it. It's probably designed to step down the voltage when it is in't being used 100% (for stability and temperatures).

No BSOD, but the thing is I disabled the speed step (or whatever Intels version is called) So I doubt it is being throttled by that.

I noticed my CPU-Z voltage only changes after 3 bumps in the BIOS.

Example, here are my BIOS volt settings and what CPUZ shows during full load tests.

bios - cpuz
1.36250 - 1.312
1.36875 - 1.312
1.37500 - 1.312
1.38125 - 1.328
1.38750 - 1.328
1.39375 - 1.328

However jumping from 1.45 to 1.5 I would think you should definitely see CPUZ voltage readings change.

My 1.45 BIOS voltage is read by CPUZ as 1.392 under full load. And 1.5 is 1.44 in CPUZ (full load).
