I'm building a new system to use for video editing and gaming and want to put 4gb of memory in it but I'm not sure the best combination of memory sticks to use.

Basically I need to know if I should get 2x2gb sticks or 4x1gb sticks.

The main difference I see is upgrading potential and price, but I doubt I'll need more than 4gb in the next few years so upgrading isn't really an issue.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I plan on using the memory with Vista 64 and a Q6600, haven't decided on a motherboard yet.

Best is 2x2GB, cheapest is 4x1GB.

PS - Make sure your MB supports "memory remapping" in the BIOS, otherwise you won't be able to use all 4GB even in Vista 64.
