Advice wanted

I got this in an email from a trusted friend and opened it... "MSN Delete Checker"
and then deleted it ,
now this virus has sent the same message to everyone in my contact list ..
I have windows vista 32 bit as my OS
I have avast running and I ran a scan .. took a long time but found nothing new ...
I ran house call and it didnt find anything
so what is happening ?
has anyone else had this problem and how did you solve it????
help????
