Hey guys!

I bought the Tvbox 1440, recently reviewed here by Nano-ZTX: http://www.modthebox.com/review526_1.shtml. I basically got it to hook my PS2 to my 19" Hyundai LCD.

I've got a major problem however - it just won't work with the component cables!

I picked up some official Sony component cables for the PS2 and alas, the Tvbox 1440 only displays garbled visual data when set to the YPbPr channel. This channel also constantly states '720p' which I assume is the problem here. The PS2 obviously doesn't output the signal this high, outputting at a fairly standard 480i/p resolution. Since the channel is set to 720p, it won't display the PS2 output properly and instead just displays a whole bunch of crazy colours and lines. It's meant to be able to without issue though, stated both in the manual and reviews out there.

There doesn't seem to be ANY way of switching from 720p mode on the YPbPr channel though - I'm very confused. If it could set itself to the PS2's standard output then I'm pretty sure the problem would go away. The PS2 works fine in the standard RGB connection, but the output is obviously quite fuzzy and terrible compared to component.

Any ideas? I'm in urgent need of my Shinobido fix! Any help would be much appreciated :)

Many thanks,

Hanzo
