Buying from the US to the UK

Any reason why I shouldn't by CPUs or other parts from US sites (assuming I can find one that ships to the UK)?

It seems in general they are around 25% cheaper, so I was wondering is there are catch, computer components aren't region locked and surely there is no crippling import tax, or am I wrong?


I'm in no hurry to get anything right now but for future reference it would be nice to know, thanks.
