Hello, I currently have 3 22' display monitors that run at 1680x1050 resolution each. Im currently trying to build a new computer and I was wondering how I would be able to run all 3 monitors at 1680x1050 res. These are the parts I am going to get.

Antec NeoPower 650W

Intel Core 2 Quad Processor Q6600 2.4GHz

GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3R

STT DDR2-800 4GB (4x1GB) CL4

Seagate ST3500630AS 500GB

Seagate ST3320620AS 320GB

Lite-On LH-2B1S 2X SATA Blu-ray

EVGA nVidia GeForce 8800GTX 768MB

Creative Labs X-Fi Xtreme

Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit

I looked at the Matrox Triplehead2Go splitter but that doesnt display 1680x1050 for each screen. Would I need another graphics card, if so could I have a lower quality one with the 8800GTX.

Currently I have a FireGL and a basic graphics card and I am able to run 1680x1050 on each monitor. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Nice build BTW :), but I don't understand why would you want to run 3 cloned screens, I would understand maybe 2 cloned screens at some point. That is what you want right? 3 cloned screens?

Emp he means that he has 3 monitors and wants to get of them to display different parts of the image and run different applications on each other. The Graphics card can only run 2 monitors, so he would need to either get another card for 3 monitors, or a splitter that has 3 DVI outs.

I'm guessing that's what the TripleHead2Go from matrox does? Make an extended display with all 3 screens on some weird res like 3840x1024 or so (Can't remember the digits). Basically gives you one big horizontal screen. Digital signal is not a problem anymore, matrox now sells Digital and Analog TripleHead2Go.

yeah, the only problem with them is that they have that big res split among all the monitors so with 3 of them you can only have 1280x1024 on each monitor. He wants to do 1680x1050 on all of them.

I suggest he gets another splitter. Do you know if the Iogear one is good? or Blackbox?

I don't have AIM sorry, only MSN Messenger. And to be honest, I don't know all that much about splitters, this is kind of TheGreatGrapeApe territory, and I don't want to talk too much about things I don't know. Wouldn't that be odd though? 5040x1050, it's wider than an eye's field of vision.
