It's time for me to make a new system and I want to make a monster of it. I've don the reading and I feel that I've selected the right parts for OCing but I want to check that these will work together well before I start buying and building. I'm going to be watercooling this system and reaching for 3.6 Ghz at 9x400. I'm also choosing this motherboard because I plan on getting one 8800GTX and overclocking it now, then buying another for SLi in a few months when they've dropped in price. If I'm wrong and this motherboard won't work with 8800GTX SLi then I definately want to know.

Mobo - ASUS P5K DELUXE/WIFI-AP LGA 775 $229.99
RAM - Patriot eXtreme Performance 4GB(2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) $239.99
Proc - Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Kentsfield 2.4GHz $289.99

(Prices from NewEgg)

From what I've read this should be a valid setup and having the FSB ratio be 1:1 should work fine in this overclock. Is my thinking straight or do I have something wrong? Feel free to point out a cheaper alternative to any part save the Q6600.
If this is good then I'll go ahead and start buying, then post my results in a few weeks.

Thanks, that is an excellent point. That's the kind of mistake I was thinking I'd make. Do you have any suggestions for a different motherboard or combination I should use?

Here are four that you might want to look at, I have used a UK site although I'm sure you could find them at a retailer of your choice but this site lists a description lifted straight from the manufactures site saving you some mouse clicks!
