Hi. :hello:
Does anyone know of a website that compares the Asus A8n32-SLI Deluxe motherboard with the Abit AT8-32X ? :??:
I purchased both these boards to build a 939 system (yes i know 939 is outdated) ;)
Sadly, i only have one processor, an AMD athlon 64 4000+ single core (yes i know it's not the best)
My graphics card is an Asus x1950pro (yes i know it's not the best ether)
Memory is 512x2 Kingston HYPER DDR (again, yes it's not the newest)
I'm looking for a head to head comparison of these motherboards, with an ATI graphics card
This system will not be used with a "cross-fire" or SLI setup.
My main priorities when building this system was 1st-Durability, 2nd-Stability, 3rd-3Dstrength and 4th-Speed
Your insights and experience would be very much valued .
Thank you. :)

I had both abit's equivalent of the A8N32 (AN8 32X) & the AT8 32X & of the 2 of them I preferred the AN8 32X but I admit to being a lot more familiar with nVidia chipsets.
Unfortunately nVidia buying ULi pretty much killed updates for the ULi sb used on the AT8 32X.

I would go with AT8-32X as it apparently consumes significantly less power. My girlfriend has an AT8-32X and a 4000+, and has never had any problems.

But both are great motherboards, in my opinion, but still a rather strange choice if your priority is stability - these are primarily built for overclocking and dual GPU gaming.

BTW, according to this article Does Chipset-to-GPU Matching Matter,

«...brand matching of graphics cards to chipsets doesn't seem to matter at all.»
