My CD-RW stopped reading discs that i give it, what could be wrong?
The Bios detected the drive, and I've also checked the wiring to the back and all was fine.
I have SP2, so i don't think firmware is an issue. Thanks in advance for your help

They do go bad ya know? If you've verified both the data and power cable are connected and haven't made any drastic system changes the odds are the unit just died. Thankfully that's a cheap component to replace... might as well go ahead and get a DVD burner at this point.

If you're got access to another system you could always try and see if it'll read discs that your's won't since there's always the off chance that the discs themselves might've gone hinky.
