Hi Guys.

I have had a wireless netgear dongle set up on my computer for the last few weeks with absolutely no problems whatsoever!

All of a sudden last night it said "limited connectivity". I tried various repair options and none seemed to work.

What annoys me is that nothing has changed so i dont know why its doing it!!!

We have a laptop, two wired pc's and my wireless pc. The wired work fine AND my laptop which is also on vista works fine so im assuming its either the netgear dongle (although the netgear software reckons its working fine) or an issue with my computer.

Ive tried turning off all other computers but mine and doesnt work
Ive tried turning off the router for 10 seconds then back on and doesnt work.

Tonight im going to try reinstall the netgear wireless dongle but if this doesnt work im stumped! i really dont want to go through re installing vista!!

Any help appreciated!

If you have a look at the Netgear site's user forum I think you'll find other people have had probs with Vista and Netgear USB.

after a bit more delving around the net i went home at lunch and turned off the encryption and sure enough it now works!

seems like it may only be short term solution but only time will tell.

I just dont understand how something cannot work without any changes being made. fine for a while then bam!

ahhh the "wonderful" world of Vista :D
