Does system restore retrieve emails

I would like to retrieve an email sent on 10/15 that must have gone to my Spam folder, which I deleted.

System restore does not retrieve personal data files, when using system restore it restores all programs and settings, but leaves your data unchanged.
You would not be happy if you restored the system to a week or a month back, then found you lost all your documents since that date. We can't have it both ways.
