Hey -

I've been looking around the forums here for a while and I have a parts list that I have compiled.
Without further adeu I give you the List:

ASUS M2N Socket AM2 NVIDIA nForce 430 MCP ATX AMD Motherboard - Retail $72.99

EVGA 320-P2-N811-AR GeForce 8800GTS 320MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Video Card - Retail $279.99

ENERMAX Whisper II EG565P-VE FMA(24P) ATX12V Ver 2.0 535W Power Supply - Retail $79.99

AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ Windsor 3.0GHz Socket AM2 Processor Model ADX6000CZBOX - Retail $169.99

SUPER TALENT 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model $81.99

Creative Sound Blaster SB0570 Audigy SE 7.1 Channels PCI Interface Sound Card - OEM $27.99

I also do not plan on doing any overclocking at all

I did use a PSU Calculator.
According to it my new Rigg is going to need 475 Watts.

I went with the Best Power Supply that I could afford at this time.
535 Watts gives me some headroom as well as good amperage on all rails.

Componets not Listed are being reused
I have 2 sata drives and 2 DVD+/- drives I'll be reusing.
I'll also be reusing my current case
This case has 4 fans in it for lots of cooling

So is this build doomed or will it serve me well??

Later,

X

Ok heres what I'm looking at changing to,

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6813138059

or

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6813138071

or

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6813127026

or

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6813130123

Didn't realize they were around the same price.
All it comes down to is manufacturer at this point and who I prefer.
I'd like an Asus Board in that price range but I didn't see any at the Egg.
My Current Asus Board has Lasted 5+ years and is still running strong.
