Help Overclocking EVGA 680i SLI motherboard Cpu and memory

iv built a brand new computer and i am running a q6600 and 4gb of crucial ballistix pc2 8000 ram and i want to overclock the processor to 3ghz and dont know how to, plus i want to overclock to the memory to 1066mhz if possible i have a thermal take big typhoon vx as my processor cooler if that helps. i know the bios pretty well but dont know what to mess around with or what voltages to change and i have no stability testing software. i would appriciate any help thanks in advance

Navdaman, you have some pretty fast ram pc2 8000 ram. The fastest ram i know was only 1800. But you have 8000. Your my hero. Talk to graysky, i told you this before. Or set your voltage on INtels Max recommened, and just keep dropping your core clock till it's stable. Once there you can keep you ram at a 2:3 ratio. And maybe get 1066, depending on your ram speed. You have 4gigs of 8000, eightthousand speed ram. You don't need a 1-1 ratio. See you later
