Anyone aware of known problems or fixes regarding overclocking CPU's in Vista 32bit?

I am trying to overclock my AMD x2 3800+ and it works fine in XP but won't work in VISTA (I have a dual boot system.) In Vista it sometimes shows the desktop but very quickly it reboots. Another forum suggests there are problems in Vista but I haven't found fixes yet. Please let me know if you have problems or success.......Thanks. The following are my stats and my settings used to overclock:

This has been asked before..........try the Search function ;)

The answer is NO. You don't overclock from Windows, you overclock from BIOS, so the operating system is irrelevant. BIOS settings are what makes your OC successful (and good hardware).

Vista may be blamed for many things, but poor overclocking is not one of them.

I've overclocked a C2D 6300 to 3.5 ghz (88% overclock) on Vista and XP, and a Q6600 to 3.4 ghz (45% overclock) on Vista and XP as well. No difference.

Back to the BIOS Overclocking drawing board.......your issue lies there, or your hardware is luck of the draw.
