nvidia 9X00 video cards' features in question for a system purchase

I am planning on buying a new system and was wondering if nvidia's 9X00 series graphics cards will have any new features that I would want to wait for their release in nov. or dec. of 2007 as well weather they are the direct x 11 cards since I am planning on purchasing a current system with direct x 10 nvidia 8X00 graphics card. If anyone has any infomation, please let me know! Thanks in advance!

Its too soon. Tooo soon. nvidia geforce 9 cards wont even be released this year! As for dx11, i havent heard about it already, so i guess you'll need to wait a bit longer.

thanks for the info of what you know. but at http://www.gpureview.com there are some articles and links to infomation regarding 9X00 on the news post of the site with heading "Some actual graphics card news! OMGBBQSAUCE!"... if they ARE going to release the 9X00 in november like those links say then I am planning on getting 8600gts, 8600gt, 8500gt, or 8400gs and then waiting for the 9X00gts and save me a hundred or so.

the g92 series WILL be released this year. around november or december..It will be released around the crysis date hopefully. Nvidia has switched to a yearly cycle and their graphics card will be here towards the end of the year. The G92 series will be the high end nvidia card..With a few months seperating their mid range cards. R700 will be out around q1/q2 2008.

I would recommend nabbing a temp card and just upgrading to the g92...if you plan to play all the dx10 games coming out the 880gtx is a waste...Don't get me wrong...Damn great card for DX9 games..But no cards on the market are good dx10 performers.

Nvidia is NOT bringing out 9X00 cards this year.As for DX11,well I've yet to actually see or hear anything official about it.So I'll go with the assumption that we'll not see it for a year or so.Go with the latest DX10 card now,that way you can't really go wrong right.An 8800GTX is an awesome video card.Be it the ultra or the regular,it still kicks some serious butt.Goodluck.

Bascially no one really knows whether Nvidia is releasing a new card or not!!!!!!

Must say that everything I have read about the new card is forum speculation-- and that is worthless unless there is smone hard facts to back it up.

i think as far as dx11 goes, i have only heard about dx10.1 not dx11. u might be reffering to dx10.1. u can now view a video of dx10.1 but uw ill have to have vista and sp1 beta of it.
