Control Key - error

I have a Sony VGN-NS20E laptop (Vista) with an intermittent keyboard problem. Laptop is nearly 12 months old and has worked perfectly up till now.

Keyboard will work OK for about 20 minutes, and then if you are typing in Word it will bring a shortcut menu up and therefore prevents you from completing the document.

Also - if you click on the sessions that are open on the task bar, there is no response and you cannot select the session you want from the Windows/Tab key function.

I have checked to see if all the latest Windows updates are installed and the McAfee is also up to date. I have also completed a full virus scan and completed the defrag option. All completed OK.

I have got the same error with compaq presario CQ60. After startup the CTRL key seems pressed as when I start WORD it asks me if I want to work in safe mode. The solution is to press CTRL_ALT_DEL and directly quit the taskmanager. The the CTRL function works fine after that till the next reboot. (Virus??)
How could I get rid of this....

Whats the solution? Or, where's the bug coming from? registry files?
