that is only a 8800 without the usual gfx card, therefore it is not a vga(do you mean GPU?)

this is also not new, ATI have already had a stream proc based on the gpu of the x1900 if i am not mistaken.

and isn't 500 gigaflops close as well... (i didn't read the article, I have just heard the G92 is 2x power of g80 because it has 1 teraflop argument a lot)
