Hey everyone, after LOTS and LOTS of research, revision and time, I've finally came up with a final setup for the gaming PC I'll be building. I'll be ordering the parts in a few days, I figured I'd post up the build on here so you guys can let me know what you think. BTW I don't plan on overclocking or anything in case anyone was curious.
Here it is (I listed everything.... right down to the mousepad ;) ):

ABIT IP35 Pro LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Intel Motherboard
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz processor
EVGA GeForce 8800GTX 768MB video card
PC Power & Cooling Silencer 610 Power Supply
2GB Crucial Ballistix DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)
Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ST3320620AS- 320GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s- Hard Drive
SONY DRU170C 18X DVD±R DVD Burner/Drive
NZXT Zero ATX Full Tower Case
Windows Vista Home Premium Edition 32bit
LG L206WTY-BF Black 20" 2ms 3000:1 DVI Widescreen LCD Monitor
Logitech G5 Laser Mouse and a fUnc F-30R-17 Mouse Pad
Logitech X-230 32 Watts 2.1 Black Speakers

Please let me know what you think about it and feel free to share any advice, this will be my first build. Thanks!

looks very solid. only suggestions I can think of is (and this is just being extra critical) maybe faster memory, or a modular psu(to reduce clutter). And have you considered on of the 680i boards? Also do you have a specific reason for getting 32bit vista instead of 64bit?

Thanks for the reply. Yes I was actually originally going with a 680i mobo, but I did some research and found out that quad core processors actually perform better in the P35 mobos, plus I'm sure I will never be using SLI... I'd rather just upgrade my video card if it came to that sometime in the future, and SLI is really the only advantage 680i boards have over P35s. Plus P35 boards are less expensive :D!

As for the OS, I decided to go with the 32 because of the driver issues with the 64 version plus the unsigned driver issue. I originally had my build planned for 4GB RAM and Vista64... but after being on the fence for a WHILE about it, I figured I'd just go Vista32 and when it comes time when I have to upgrade Ram to 4GB+ I could just upgrade to Vista64 and add the Ram.... I don't think any games need more than 2GB of Ram right now or will for a while anyways and I've saving money.

Oh lol. Do you think the pc8000 would make that big of a difference though from what I chose? I checked and they're running about $100 more, would it really be worth it?

that looks perfect. and cheaper than the corsair that I linked! (unless you take advantage of the rebate then it's about even.) I don't see you having a problem with corsair or crucial anyway.

And by going Crucial you are sure that if in the future you Ram goes bad, you know you'll be getting quality Micron IC's. The PC2 8500 ram is going for $159.99 at NewEgg.
