My 3 year old pc which has worked perfectly up until i sold it and reinstalled windows and here is my issue. The computer runs perfect I install windows xp media center edition, download all the driver updates and what not.... then I restart and it takes 5 minutes to start up which is nothing to complain about but then it just gets to a black screen like its about to show the windows user name login choice and bam just restarts and keeps on doing this. System Specs: amd 2500+ xp, 2x512 mb ddr 333, nvidia nforce 2 mobo, ati radeon 9500 pro, 240 gb hd, 250 watt psu that comes in the shuttle case.

HDD? slave it, and install windows to a new disk?
can you get safemode to work?
last known good configuration?

I know they're designed for 10 years but check you CMOS battery, you might need a new one?
