help!

hey guys, to fill you in, I'm using corsair ram ddr2800 2x 1GB dual channel (pc6400) with timings: 5 5 5 18 and a ga-965p-dq6 motherboard.

I looked on gigabytes website for updates and found a new bios update so i downloaded it and flashed the cmos chip. Here's when the problem started:

DDR2800 rams's supposed to have a theoretical bandwith of 6.4GB's.
before, using the old bios (F7), i had around 5.67GB's bandwith, +/- 20mb's.
after the upgrade to the new bios (F9), this dropped to 2.1GB's bandwith

I've checked the bios settings and its correctly configure to 800mhz, 5-5-5-18 settings, dual channel.
Anyone have suggestions? I was thinking of reflashing with the older F7 bios

-------------
btw, is ddr2 800 is supposed to hav 6.4GBs bandwith, shouldnt dual channel increase that to 12.8?

I'd do a flash-back...

Personally, I never do a flash upgrade UNLESS it fixes an issue that I am experiencing. Newer is not always better.
