Trojan

Hi,

Sorry if this message is confusing, I'm a little tired.

I was on the internet looking at all kinds of stuff, then all the sudden, my computer started acting funny:

- My virus scanner showed a quaranteened trojan so scanned and cleaned it.
- Then a fake virus scanning program started running. I didn't know what to do so I turned my computer off.
- I tried to boot into safe mode but it started beeping. So, I just logged in like I normally do.
- I downloaded Malwarebytes and it found trojan.FakeAlert which I'm deleting now.

Is there anythine else I should do?

Do a full scan on your PC using your anti-virus program and again with Malwarebytes. Hopefully it will be clean.

Just to be safe, check for updates for those programs once a week and do a full scan once a week for the next 4 weeks in case there have been other virus infections that have not been recognized.
