Hey, i'm leaving for 3 weeks later today so i gotta know whether to snag this card.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6814241063

GECUBE HV195XTG3-E3 Radeon X1950XT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Video Card - Retail

($169.99 after $30.00 Mail-In Rebate)

No idea why it's so cheap, for it's performance.. i can't find a review anywhere.. so i have no idea what's up with it. Can someone enlighten me please? running it in a an antec 900 w/ a e6750, 2gb ballistix, P35 mobo prolly

Should i get it? How is it? Or will prices be cheaper when i get back?

Thanks guys

I bought an HIS x1950pro on newegg for $105 after rebate about two weeks ago, so that price doesn't seem unusually low. I'm really happy with the card, I'd say it's about the most performance I've ever gotten for the price.

It seems like a decent buy, but it sort of depends on what video card you have now. If you already have a decent card then you might not see that much improvement.

Also, the x1950 cards take a fair amount of power and run hot, so make sure to consider before purchasing.

All in all, if you have the money and need a good card then I say take it.

BUY THIS CARD. I can't stress it enough. I have been eyeing this card since I saw it come out on Newegg ( for my bros computer). Only 170 bucks for this card.....are you kidding me ? Amazing deal, cards like these run out of stock fast too. I can guarantee you will be happy with this card....why ? Well, because back in the day when ATI released the X1950XTX I nabbed one. It is still my fav card today, I don't have it anymore, sold it to a friend for cheap. Now I know the x1950xt is different than the XTX but looking at it, I can see that it has the exact cooling solution, that will jet the hot air out the back of your case, It is also apparently overclocked to near XTX levels. I have an 8800 GTX Overclocked and although its nice, I always loved my 1950 more. I'm actually amazed this card is so cheap. BUY IT BUY IT BUY IT. What on earth are you waiting for ? The 1950 series is one of the best Dx9 performers. IMO ATI has better drivers etc. CCC is great for overclocking these bad boys, no hassle. If It's anything like my one true love, the XTX, then you will be amazed, jsut get it man. I hope I've convinced you.

While it looks very good it must be a brand new card. I notice that they say that it is certified for Vista but the company name does not appear on Microsofts approved vendors for Vista which means that MS has just tested it in the labs or it is not really certified but is pending. There are no cards of any model under the gecube label. Without a single customer review on Newegg, they must have just got them in. Gecube has been around a while making other cards including the 1950 pro.

You will have to follow your gut on this one. Newegg does have customer reviews for the gecube agp model here http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6814241049 These might give you some guidance and that card is $60 more.

If you can afford $265 get an 8800 GTS 320 MB. If not, go ahead and get this x1950xt.

I think the thing that most want to know is What card do you already have?

For a 512MB X1950XT, that is an unbeatable deal. You can usually grab a 256MB version for that much, but not the 512MB.

Everyone welcome the new undisputed king of the sub-$200 market.

I bought my x1900xtx last year for 400 bucks new. Still tearing through the latest games with the graphics cranked. I can only imagine the x1950xt having that extra little kick. $170 is a steal in my opinion.

I have no video card as of now, this is a new build. I have adequate cooling i imagine, but i can always bust out a zalman GPU cooler if i need.

Ordered.

THANKS!

For 85 USD less than the 8800GTS 320 , Its a much better deal. Theres not alot of difference between the 1900xt series and the gts 320. I own both, and youll love it, trust me. Thats a great price
