Hi, today my new hardware just shipped and i've already placed everything in.

OS - Windows XP
Motherboard - Asus A8V-XE
Video - GeForce 7600GT
Memory - DDR-400 1GB Ultra
CPU - AMD X2 4200+

When it boots, all the peripherals are found and then after showing the motherboard splash screen it goes into a BSOD where it says something along the lines of "pci.sys - address f786a0bf base at f783000, datestamp 3b7d855c"

Constant rebooting does nothing, I've already tried switching the ram around, and doing a dry boot with only a stick of ram, cpu and video card and nothing changes. I also tried re-installing windows with the cd and after it loads all the drivers, it jumps into the splash screen.

Please help!! I've spent so much money trying to upgrade this thing but nothing is working.

if you are using an older windows disk it won't work with a pci-e motherboard, your windows disk must be sp2 to load the required drivers to suport pci-e
