Hello, this is my final checklist before ordering my new gaming rig:

PSU: Corsair HX620W
CPU Heatsink: Thermalright ultra-120 extreme
Heatsink fan: Scythe S-flex 1600rpm
CPU: Intel C2D E6600
Mobo: Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3R
HDA: WD Raptor 74gb
HDB: WD Raptor 74gb
HDC: WD 500gb
Chassis: NZXT Zero
RAM: 2GB Crucial Ballistix ddr2-1066
Video Card: BFG 8800gtx oc2
Optical Drive: Pioneer DVD+-RW
Display: Samsung Syncmaster 245B 24inch

2 Raptors will be in RAID 0 (yes, I do some media editing). I will be OCing the e6600 to 3.6ghz (400x9 hopefully). As well as underclocking the RAM (1:1 @ 400mhz) and tightening its timings (hence ddr2-1066 instead of ddr2-800).

My contemplations are the q6600 and the x38 chipset.

Here's the kicker, I am away from August 10th till the 30th, so I can order and build this rig in the next 10 days, or I can wait until September and perhaps get an X38 board (if they are out then). I have done a ton of research prior to composing this list, so it will be difficult to convince me to change the components in it, however, if you would like to try I will welcome suggestions that will compel me to wait until September.

Thanks in advance for all advice and opinions.

i may go with the e6750 as it is cheaper than the e6600 at most retailers, but i dont think i want a quad core right now, i will be upgrading to a 45nm core a year from now i think.
