Desktop properties disabled

Hello I am unable to change my desktop background. I had a virus problem and it appears the virus had been removed but when I restart a message appears that I am still infected I scanned with ATT McAfee and it says I am not infected.

Boot into safe mode with networking (f8 on startup). Download, install, and update malwarebytes. Do a full system scan.

I was told by Malwarebytes' to report an Error code of... 732(12007,0)

Once it's finished it's scan, make sure all infections are removed successfully.

When it's done, you can restart back into normal windows. I would suggest uninstalling Macafee and installing Avira. It's an active, live updating, AV with internet security.

I have restarted and it appears to be CLEAN....WOW!!!... I want to thank you MR./MRS/Miss/aford10 for your brilliant suggestion. It might seem simple to you, but I have been up all night trying to save so very important files. It is a warm feeling to know there is still someone like you that is willing to help.
