Not only am I a not so proud owner of the AGEIA PhysX card, but I'm now the owner of an AGEIA PhysX card with a broken fan. Because I had no idea how long the fan has been broken, I decided to take a screwdriver and remove the fan from the heatsink. Lo and behold, the card runs the same as it did with the fan when it was funtional; while the card does get a bit warm, it still operates normally and has had no issues without the fan.

I've already replaced the cooling solution myself; I'm not trying to sell the card, even though it's basically worthless. I was really just wondering if anyone else has had experience with the card and temperatures. Most review sites show it consumes about 23W of power so it doesn't require much to keep cool.

I'd sell the card, but I got it pretty cheap anyway and I'm not desperate for money.(not that I would get much  )

This reply is intended as a general reply to PhysX disaster. YEARS AGO when PhysX just game I posted a comment on THG that this technology ultimately fail.

Later I read all sorts of "wise cracks" from oh so clever people as to "why I was wrong". I knew the time and day would come I could show you all a toffee!

Brace yourself clowns. It has arrived. PhysX SUX.
