Monitor turn off login

Hi,

My laptop minotor becomes off -like power saving mode- after logging in. When I move the mouse, it randomly turns on and then goes off again. Can any one help me please. OS: windows XP.

Have you checked the power saving options, to see if it's set to turn off after a short time?

Yes. Actaully it happens when I am using the keyboard and I think it is not a power management issue. It seems that it is blinking with very low power when I move the cursor so I can see what happens (with difficulty!!!). In this state, the cursor moves quite slowly as if cpu is doing somthing...
