My laptop and my desktop pc work fine on my laptop but I cannot figure out for the life of me how to get connected to my stupid xbox 360 live. My network shows up when I try and logon to it, but it won't connect to it. I have read some other people's problems and it may have to do w/ port forwarding. Do I need to enable wireless access point? So confused. Please help??

I am using an older netgear router if that makes any difference?
It shouldn't make any difference so long as both ends support 802.11b standard. If the X-Box only supports b&g there may be a compatibility issue -- but I doubt it. Try searching the Netgear forums for anyone with similar problem.
First try turning off Access by MAC id (as well as turning off WEP).
