Hi
I have just installed a new hard drive I have set up the operating system,
but did not come accross where to partion the HD. What I wanted was to split
the HD in 2
Is this possible.
Thanks in advance for any help that is given

You have the operating system installed on the "new" hard drive? The drive
is in one large partition? The drive must now be manipulated (partitioned)
by using a program such as Partition Magic 8.01.

If during the install, you choose to create a partition (smaller than the
size of the hard drive) for the operating system, then you could use the
operating system to partition the remainder of the drive. But to change
(shrink) the size of the Windows partition, and add additional partitions in
the freed up space, you need the above program.

Or, since as she said, she *just* installed the drive, she may
want to start over again and reinstall Windows from scratch.
Presuming that there's little or nothing beside the operating
system on the drive, the usual penalties for doing this don't
apply.
