I just built a new computer, and I decided to go with vistax64. Of course linksys has very little support for vista, but whatever. I can connect to the internet through my WMP54G, but randomly my connection will stall, like in games I will freeze for 2 seconds, then it will speed up everything I missed. I went to cmd, and pinged to www.yahoo.com, here is the log.

Anyone have any idea how to fix this? Never happened with the same adapter and access point with XP and my old computer

This happens in all games including WoW, and while I am surfing the internet...

I would try lowering MTU in the router -- default is 1500, lower in increments of 10. Download TCPOptimiser which may offer guidance.

I downloaded that program, but the only thing I can find that says MTU is blank, and I cannot put in a number. How do I go about lowering it?

In my router, MTU setting is on WAN setup page.

I lowered my MTU from 1500 to 1470 in intervals of 10, nothing. Anyone have any idea what could be the problem?
