Hello, I'm trying to remove write protection on a disk

I'm going to assume you're talking a file/folder/HDD

If this is your computer and HDD then I'd say take ownership of the files(r click properties then go to security and advanced)

Then under the initial properties there are check boxes at the bottom and ensure that read only is unchecked.

I can't say much more without additional information unfortunately the answer you get will be as good as the question often : /

If you've finalized the disc then you can't write any more data to it. Otherwise, it should just work (assuming that you have a CD writer that can handle CD-R disks). But, as they only cost a few pennies (or cents) each, just forget it and use another one.
