Does anyone know it? ....on retailers like 'egg.......

Any other specs would help - this seems like a great cooler...comparable with the 120

The Ultima 90 performs very well for the price, the performance gain of the 120ex wouldn't be worth it to me, but for some the best is the best.

Scythe S-flex are good fans, but there are better ones out there like Panaflo, Sharkoon Silent Eagle, and San Ace.

Well, I just ordered from jab-tech. The Ultima 90 and a couple of fans to choose from. Got a 92 Panaflo (H1A) and 2 120's to try...Scythe SFlex and a Yate Loon.

Well, I can't especially say that the Panaflo/Silent Eagle is better, excellent cooling fans for the budget minded, but certainly not performance-wise better. The SFLex seem to be better paired, but that's only my personal experience (and seems to be anands,as well!)

I picked this heatsink as well. I decided to pick up the Yate Loon Silent 120. Might pick up the Scythe Sflex also in case the cooling isnt up to par.

Im about 5secs away from ordering it to replace my Freezer 7 Pro, it really doesnt cool my quad at 3.2gig well enough it keeps making it crash! Temps almost at 60!

This one should do the trick hehe.

Update: Got it today and wrestled it in. Early results are temps 8 degrees lower at idle and 12-15 lower at load.

With STOCK hs/f my temps were:
tcase: 31 idle, 57 load
cores: 39 idle, 64 load

(Load = 10 minutes of Orthos Small FFT's at Priority 9)

Tonight with the Ultima 90 and a Panaflo 92 fan:
tcase: 23 idle, 45 load
cores: 31 idle, 49 load

I may work back thru the calibration steps to confirm, but the temps from speedfan for the cores DID match coretempbeta's readings. Ambient in both cases is about 24.

I am much happier with a 49 at load than a 64! Though still seems high to me considering temps others post.

I suppose my next options are to either 1) try the Scythe 120 fan I also ordered instead of the Panaflo or 2) lap the hs and cpu (but I don't think I'm ready for that).

I may also consider undervolting the vcore since I am not OC'ing and running stock speeds.

Anyway, that is where it stands currently.

Decent temps! Waiting for mine to come in sometime next week. Keep us posted on your temps/fans and I'll be doing the same. Btw, have you tried to use 2 fans in a push-pull config? I'm wondering what effect that might have.

Mine comes tuesday muahahah!

Idk if it can have 2 fans mate I thought there was only one connector, im going to use a push pull with my back case fan though it lines up perfectly.

It may just be a while before the thermal paste burns in, then ull get a lot les degrees under load.

Also, does it come with its own thermal paste?

In my case there is not a lot of room from the hs to the rear exhaust so I have no plans to mount one as a pull. The exhaust is close enough.

There was a tube of thermal paste included buy I still have a tube of AS5 that I'm trying to use up.

I will probably go back in and re-apply the AS5. I have a tendency to use too much, so I will take the hs/f off and check how much got pushed out to the edges and try to re-apply a little bit less.

8x400 at 3.2ghz, running idle at 36degrees, and thermal paste has no way optimized itself yet. About to run vigorous stress tests, I got a feeling im going to be upping this voltage.

EDIT: Vcore now at 1.33, 36degrees idle and 62degrees load.

Anyone lapped the Ultima-90? Was tossing around the idea since I got a few days before installing. Waiting on my new PSU and fans

Paste has pretty much burned in now, been raising and lowering temps.

Idle is 35 - 40degrees, normal load is about 50degrees and max temp its got to is 58degrees.

This is with 9x333 for 3ghz and 1.34vcore.

Yes, I do need that much to get mine COMPLETY stable at 3ghz. It seems quite high, only takes 1.28 to boot into windows tho, probably even less, its mad.

This smaller brother of the Ultra 120 eXtreme is what I'm thinking of getting. Less heavy, and more or less the same temps in stock and overclocked CPUs. and 10-15 USD cheaper than the ultra. Also, not heard of any complaints of it being unstable when mounted onto the CPU. Fits like a glove.
