I'm sure Rob could tell us how much better the demo runs with two 8800GTXs over one. I have an 8800GTX, but I don't run Vista.

dammit, does no one here have vista and a dx10 card.

I have Vista, but I am only running a GTS, does that matter?

Not at all; you could still download it and give it a try.

I am at work now. When I get home tonight I will give it a swing and let you know how it runs.

well I can probably look at a slideshow of beautiful graphics (8600 gts + vista ultimate) although I haven't looked at the demo itself yet and it might look bad

having downloaded it and looked at it, it seems this is neither going to show off the ultimate eye candy nor an 8800's superiority (im getting 120 fps with my 8600) in fact the worst i get when I move the camera is 60 fps

i don't think it is meant to be a stress test, merely a tech demo.

Yeah humus just does them to showcase specific functions and effects. It's not meant to be super amazingly beautiful or incredibly stressful, but just to investigate some features.
