I'm sure Rob could tell us how much better the demo runs with two 8800GTXs over one. I have an 8800GTX, but I don't run Vista.

well I can probably look at a slideshow of beautiful graphics (8600 gts + vista ultimate) although I haven't looked at the demo itself yet and it might look bad

having downloaded it and looked at it, it seems this is neither going to show off the ultimate eye candy nor an 8800's superiority (im getting 120 fps with my 8600) in fact the worst i get when I move the camera is 60 fps

Yeah humus just does them to showcase specific functions and effects. It's not meant to be super amazingly beautiful or incredibly stressful, but just to investigate some features.
