OC vs Stock benchmarks

I was wondering if there are some benchmarks that compare an OC'd system to a stock system. Primarily just the CPU OC'ed. I would like to know differences in FPS and the like. An identical system would be ideal, with just the CPU OC'ed in one.

Overclocking is very interesting to me, but before I potentially kill my system in the learning process I would like to now what real performance gain I would get. I'm on a C2Q Q6600, so I can't really see myself getting noticeable better performance when I am running games perfectly smooth at high settings.

well.. I recommend you try Sandra, it's not exactly what you are looking for, but it will, to some extend, let you compare you system OC'ed to your stock speeds. Unfortunately not before after the OC.. I'm not that much into OCing my self, but download it and take a look at it, it can do all kinds of interesting benchmarks and stabillity tests.
