Possible CPU Bottleneck ?

I just upgraded my x600 pro pci-e (yuck!) to an x1950pro 512mb, and i was just wondering whether or not my athlon 64 3500+ 2.2ghz processor will be holding it back. I'm stuck with a socket 939 mobo and I know that 939 cpus are slowly disappearing- but I'm not sure whether an upgrade will yield that much of a performance boost with that GPU. Either way, I am hoping to scratch by for another year or two until I can justify building a new rig from the ground up. So what do you guys think? :??:

Any input is appreciated-thanks in advance! :D

It's not a Bottleneck. Overclock to 2.4Ghz or 2.6Ghz if you like but after 2.0Ghz on AMD your not bottlenecking any ATI Card so far even 2900XT 1Gb Crossfire.

Nah, its not a bottleneck, just like the other guy said, overclock it some.

Thanks for the quick replies.
Any recommendations on CPU coolers?--Im a bit leery of overclocking with a stock fan.

Stock AMD fans are pretty good. They will take you safely to 2.5-2.6Ghz. Only beyond that Aftermarket and Water cooled are required.

Shows that stock cooling is matching aftermarket stuff
