Hello all.

I was wondering what would be a good, stable, overclocking motherboard for an E6600 that is under $200~$300. I will probably end up upgrading my memory (Only 667 atm), but I want to stay with DDR2 and preferably SLI ready.

I am not sure what chipsets to look for, or which brands offer better overclocking.

Any help would be appreciated. :)

asus striker extreme is supposed to be great IF you have the right RAM, there is a list of approved ram on their site.. If you dont have the right ram, its more than likely you'll end up with no RAM at all!!

I personally just ordered the eVga 680i, as the only real problems i could find when researching this was temperature, so iv'e ought some fat heatsinks (thermalright hr-05)

Cheers Chris

Decent case cooling takes care of most of the problems TBH, there isn't a part of my 680i LT that I cannot touch with my bare hands.

I may be having problems with it all though, who knows.
