I just recieved my new motherboard, a bfg 680i, and my new case, an antec p182. I installed the mobo etc fine no problems at all, however im having some trouble connecting the front usb, power and reset switch/led cables to the motherboard as i am not sure which wire is positive and which is negative, or doesnt it matter. Is there a gerneral rule like "the white cable is always negative" or positive.

Any help would be greatly appeciated.

Kind regards

Doesn't usually matter in my experience, although I have just built a system with a P182, and I used whites as negative.....

Front USB should be keyed. Power and reset have no polarity. Leds have a polarity I think white is negative. I believe it is in the manual. If they don't light reverse them, you can't damage anything by reversing them.

On the P182, the usb connectors are in a solid block with a hole blocked, they can't be put on wrong...... (only fit one way!)
