DVD BURNER

Hello,I have a dell desk top 531 it came with one drive drawer that opens, I can burn music or pictures wit a CD+R disk, I tried to do the same with a DVD+R blank and it does not see a disk , whats my problem , do I need a DVD drive with a drawer to do this ?

You will need a dvd burner, a cd burner can not read or write dvd's (unless it's a combo unit that writes cd's and reads dvd's) but a dvd burner can do both.
The one problem I can think of is that your pc may not suffcient ram for smooth dvd burning.
