HP Printer Install Issue

I have tried everything and I still cannot install my HP printer. I get error 1075: the dependency service does not exist for had been marked for deletion. How do I correct that??

HELP!!

So, is it a spooler issue or an issue trying to get Windows to recognize the printer? If Windows will not recognize the printer, download either the XP or Vista driver (which ever is available) and try to install it via the control panel, i.e. add new hardware.
