Is it possible to run a 800 FSB Core 2 on a 1333/1066 motherboard, or does it have to be 1066/800 or lower motherboard?

You can run a 800Mhz FSB Pentium 4 on a P35 board(FSB 1333 and FSB 1600(Overclocked))

I question you, why wont a 800MHz FSB run on a Higher FSB supporting LGA 775 Motherboard?

I am looking to upgrade my P4 to a Core 2, but don't have the money to upgrade motherboard and ram at the moment. I just want to make sure that if I do upgrade my motherboard at a later time that it will be compatible with the Core 2.

As long as your current motherboard says it supports Core 2 Duo architecture. Your 800FSB Allendale will have legacy FSB support.
