I just recencently purchased a new DS3P, E6750, and 2g's of Crucial 8500. I've managed to oc this setup to 3.2 w/400fsb and 8x multi with my ram running at 1000 mhz 5,5,5,15 and no voltage increase. CPU-Z says I'm using a fsb;dram ratio of 4:5. I know how to get to the advanced area in the M.I.T. section of the bios and was having a little difficulty understanding how to change the ratios and some of the options available for adjusting. Like;

1. Performance Enhance = Standard, Turbo, Extreme. (what do these do?)

2. System Memory Multiplier = Auto, 2.00, 2.40, 3.20, 3.33, 4.0+,2.50, 3.00 (Seems to be what controlling the FSB;DRAM Ratio but there is a large gap between 2.50 and 3.00 making it hard to keep the memory frequencies down. With this 400fsb setting I'm either set at 1000 or I jump up to 1160 ish. How can I tweak that better.

3. High Speed DRAM DLL Setting = Option 1, Option 2. (What do these do?)

Guys I really need some help here and I've been searching forums and getting bits and pieces from others ppls post but I could use some insight and guidance. This is my first Intel system since my P4 Northwood days and I'm a little lost. Here's a little screenshot that may or may not help. If there is any additional info needed please ask.

When in bios main page press Ctrl + F1 then go into the M.I.T. options. It should now be available towards the bottom of the page.

1. Would like to know too but Standard I set as I had problems going OC at high speeds with Turbo or Extreme. Suspect they affect RAM.
2. Set to 2.00 if your RAM is not capable of going 2.40
When set to 2.00, you can really push your CPU to say near 500, depends on your FAN or Water Cooling of course.
When set to 2.40, my best shot is near 444. You'll need to increase RAM V if you use 2.40 for sure! And both ways, you'll need to set CPU to 1.4V. Should be fine even with original FAN. They have good fans now.
3. Not sure what it is, but I'm with Option 1 now.

Crtl+F1, if your default settings of your RAM runs at CL 4-4-4-12, you'll need to stick with 5-5-5-18 if you are using 2.40 (though I'm still using 4-4-4-12, but depends how good your RAM is). If not, you'll surely be fine with 4-4-4-12 on 2.00. Test it your self! Good luck!

Btw, I think you should get rid of Norton and find something better. They really cause your computer to slow.
