I have never built a computer but I hope to do so soon. Here are the specs I thought of and I was curious to know opinions ont what is being planned. I dont wanna spend much more money than I am already but I am willing to spend more if it will reallly helps so I appreciate suggestions either way. Thanks in advance!!
Yeah agree with Chris -- I just can't be bothered to click through the links...
From what I hear Newegg is a good company to buy from and apart from that I can make no further comment. Lazy I guess -- but as you didn't put more detail in so are you.

Any reason your going with AMD? Intel's you can OC the hell out of and get much more performence over AMD. Plus most mobo's are able to run Intel's new Penryn processer. You'll love that ram as I do.

Your motherboard is the wrong socket. You want an AM2 mobo not 939. Otherwise the cpu wont fit and the ram wont fit either.
The hard drive is excessive. You can get 2x WD 150gb Raptors in raid for less and it will be quicker.
I personally recomend the hd2900xt over the 8800gts 640mb.
The dvd drive is more expensive because its retail rather than oem. There is no difference between them other than the box it comes in.
The power supply isnt very good and neither is the case.
Im just trying to save you some money and tell you where you have gone wrong. Your best bet at the moment is to get Intel cpu but if you have your heart set on AMD 6000x2 is a good cpu.
As for the HDD you wont notice the difference between a standard HDD and a raptor.
This is a good drive at 5x less than you were going to pay.
Dont be fooled by getting a high Power supply like a 500W this is simply way to much for any PC Sytem be it Games or Vidio. What must PC users dont know is that most PC,s will use no more then 350 wats at any time. A Power supples only put out enough power as is needed so a Power Supply like a 500W can put out a max of 500W but only if needed and 500W's is way more then any PC will ever need. So take it from a Thermaltake Engineer Go with a 400W Power Supply and save your self the money.
A high end power supply is always a good investment for future proofing. I dont think 500W is excessive. TDP of that cpu is 130W alone with a graphics card like a 8800gts or 2900xt your knocking on the door of 400W as it is without anything else.
Besides a power supply can be used for the next five years in every build you make.
Ask anyone here scimping on a decent power supply is highly unrecommended.
I think the OP just needs to start over. I'd do some forum reading about each component in your PC and then decide what you want/need/should get AFTER that.

Tell that to the person in November when Nvidia release a new card. PCI-Express 2.0 is spec'ed at up to 300 watts and there are mainboards (P35) that support it. Why not be ready for the unknown months ahead? It makes since that if a new standard is about to be release to be ready for it. Example: I ordered the Enermax Infiniti 720 PCI-E 2.0 spec ready for $219.99. You said 400 watts is plenty but how may amps? You left yourself wide open for that one because most 8800 GTX requires min. 22 amps for each 12 rail, so tell me how a 400 watt PSU can do 22 amps on two rails?

Its newer, faster, cheaper, cooler, and better at overclocking.
Everything else looks good. Im not sure if that mobo supports 1333mhz fsb of the E6750. These chips have only just been released so they are the latest revisions. There is no point in paying more for an older product.
As I already said and others have agreed with me do not buy a rubbish power supply. I also own an Enermax infinity 720W and it was well worth the high price. It doesnt matter how much you load it up the 12V lines are rock solid stable. As system lord said its PCIE 2.0 compliant. They dont even make PCIE 2.0 graphics cards yet. So your already ahead of the game.
Hopefully you've also managed to save yourself a bit of money. Do reconsider the hard drive. Its nice to say I have a raptor but when it comes to real world the perfomance difference is minor.

Do you see a weak link here? Whenever you PC has to access the HD theres a penlty for doing so and the faster the access time the quicker your data gets to were it is going. I have seen a big difference in games like Oblivion when you have tree's popping up late because your HD can't keep up.
