More Information

Hi all! I just put together my first build yesterday and being the worry wart that I am, I want to make sure everything is working as it should. Can you please take a look and let me know what you think?

Intel E6750 CPU
Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3P motherboard
EVGA 8800 GTS 320 MB
2GB (2x1GB) Patriot ExtremePC-6400 (DDR2 800) Low Latency Memory
WD SATA 750 GB WD7500AAKS
Sony/NEC Optiarc SATA DVD+/-RW
Corsair HX620W PSU
Cooler Master Hyper TX2 CPU cooler
Antec P180B Case
Windows Vista 32-bit

My first question is the RAM... It's supposed to have 4-4-4-12 timings. But it showed up as 5-5-5-16. I think I need to adjust something in the BIOS. I think it needs to be 2.2V. I see in the BIOS where I can set the "DDR2 OverVoltage Control" and I think it would need to be +0.4v. The BIOS used to show the timings as 5-5-5-16 and the ability to set them manually, but I updated the BIOS and can't seem to see those options any longer.

I'm not sure about other BIOS settings as well:
Advanced BIOS Features (partial)
HDD S.M.A.R.T. Capability [Disable]
Limit CPUID Max. to 3 [Disable]
No-execute Memory Protect [Enable]
CPU Enhanced Halt (C1E) [Enable]
CPU Thermal Monitor 2 (TM2) [Enable]
CPU EIST Function [Enable]
Virtualization technology [Enable]

PC Health Status
Reset Case Open Status [Disable]
Case Opened YES (It's not though)
Current System Temperature 47C
Current CPU Temperature 40C

I set my case exhaust fans to low -- should I increase them? What temp is my goal?

MB Intelligent Tweaker
Robust Graphic Booster [Auto]
CPU Clock Ratio [8x]
CPU Host Clock Control [Disable]
CPU Host Frequency 200
PCI Express Frequency [Auto]
C.I.A.2 [Disable]
Performance Enhance [Turbo]
System Memory Multiplier (SPD) [Auto]
Memory Frequency 800 800
High Speed DRAM DLL Settings [Option 1]
System Voltage Control [Manual]
DDR2 OverVoltage Control [+0.40V]
PCI-E OverVoltage Control [Normal]
FSB OverVoltage Control [Normal]
(G)MCH OverVoltage Control [Normal]
CPU Voltage Control [Normal]
Normal CPU Vcore 1.35000V

Then when I get into Vista, I ran CPU-Z V1.4 I see some things that concern me:
Under CPU tab, for the Clocks (Core#0)
It shows a Core Speed of 2000.0 Mhz and a Multiplier of x6.0 and Bus Speed 333.3 Mhz and Rated FSB 1333.3 Mhz
Why does it show the core speed of 2000.0 MHz and a multiplier of x6?

The Motherboard tab so a Southbridge of Intel 82801IB (ICH9) - I thought my Southbridge was ICH9R -- Is there a difference?

The BIOS is AWARD, Version F5h dated 7/24/07

Under the Memory tab is shows:
Type = DDr2
Channels # Dual
Frequency 400 MHz
FSB:DRAM = 5:6
CAS latency = 5 clocks
RAS# to CAS# Delay = 5 clocks
RAS# Precharge = 5 clocks
Cycle Time = 16 clocks

Under the SPD tab is shows the two timing options 400 MHz: 4-4-4-12-21-2Tand 500 MHz: 5-5-5-15-35-2T

I would greatly appreciate any information/wisdom that you can share with me. This is a little overwhelming. Sorry for the long post but I wanted to get as much information in it the first time. Thanks in advance!
