I never buy used... It's hard to say. If you are building a budget systemthough, you can get a micro-atx MSI mobo for cheap. Just be careful what you you are tryingto get out of your budget overclock system.

It sounds too much like building a fast car on a tight budget; It's either not going to yield the results you are looking for, or could end up disastrous.

Agree. I would not buy used either.
Too much a a chance of something just being flakey.
I never buy used parts, the worry/hassle is generally not worth the savings.

Now, I will buy refurbed systems systems if they come with a good warranty. I buy all of my Laptops from outlet.dell.com and generally can get the same laptop I could buy new with very little warranty with a great 3year on-site warranty in which Dell usually shows up in about 2 business days.

I buy open box items - but 1 out of 3 is usually at least mildly flaky. And I wouldn't buy returned MSI stuff - can almost be certain it had some sort of problem.
