I was just wondering if anyone on toms had bought a z902 mini PC on a stick off of asiapads for the special 500 run for $75? I'm asking because im getting a bit paranoid about their reputation, i mean they sent me an e-mail saying the order was being processed, it was processing for 10 days, not including a supposed 5 day Chinese holiday. They have since sent me an e-mail with tracking number on a website called track17, but all this can be faked pretty easily. Granted it is a bit elaborate to be fake just to get $75.

Maybe it's held up at Customs. I bought a Chinese Android 'phone and it turned up with a UK Customs label described as a $30 digital camera. If they get caught out, both parties to the transaction would lose out and they'd probably be out of business.

did you ever get your device?

not yet, i did get sent a tracking number which shows that its left the country basically, its really poor detail-wise. I'm going to be "keeping the faith" until it gets here, which should be in about a week or so, maybe.

Are you wanting to order one? or waiting on one of your own?

I ordered 4 x Z2C (the dual core 4.1.1 stick just released) Got an order number, PayPal'd them. It just says processing. Can't get any response from the email address contact. Chatted briefly via Skype to someone this morning, who told me I should get back to them in 2 hours once one of their colleagues is online to look up the dispatch date for the order. Now they seem offline (or they've blocked me!)

So your status is no longer "processing"? Its now "shipping" with a tracking number? I hope I get one soon as I asked for DHL shipping, at least then I can tell something is en route!

Oh yeah the processing took like 2 weeks, but 5 days were a Chinese holiday "supposedly".

Thanks for the feedback - I have worked a fair bit with China, so I can confirm they have just had their second "Golden Week" holidays, which lasts 7 days and then ran into a weekend, its hectic over there!
I just emailed Zero Devices directly, who seem connected, they responded and said they would try to push for the order details on my behalf, so hopefully it isn't dodgy!

good then they weren't just jerking everyone around, i do regret now choosing the free shipping option instead of something like first class air.

its difficult to justify the courier charge when the device is so cheap! That's why I shanghaied (no pun intended!) 4 guys at work to order with me to reduce the shipping :)  good luck with yours

Thanks, you as well, getting this thread going again has got me thinking about it more lol. I was wondering why you ordered 4 of them, i was thinking you had a shitload of TV's.

Just wanted to update everyone that may be following this thread, I finally received my 902Z today, however i was at work so im having USPS redeliver on my day off. It did take about a week AFTER it had arrived in the US to reach me lol, and that was after it got processed through American Customs. Since you got an independent carrier you probably already got your four sticks, right lex?

Just to let you guys know - I received the 4 x Z2C sticks I ordered (only took about 2 days to get them from HK to Sydney via DHL)

Pretty happy with them so far - although its clear there are a few bugs in the firmware (wifi and video), trying to access some support from them. And the adaptor from US power point to Australian power point is flimsy at best! Only option is to replace it.

However, the rest of the contents of the package (and the packaging itself!) is surprisingly good quality. I'm impressed overall. Just hope they are serious about providing some technical support.

Overall 4.5 stars out of 5 I think so far!

I'm really happy! :pt1cable:  I like these devices, small and good quality.
