My first thread!
I bought 4 items. They are HD capable. A sound card, video card, and a LCD monitor.
Here they are:
Monitor - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16824014124
Video Card - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814130071 (This says HD decoding, so that might not be same thing as HD. Is it?)
Sound Card - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16829121122
Speakers - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16836121120
Now the monitor says it has a HDMI input for an all in one audio/video HD connection. Should I even bother with that? I was assuming the setup would just be a DVI-I cable from the video card to the monitor(because theres no HDMI slot for the video card) and a regular hookup between my 5.1 speakers and the sound card. Am I right to assume this? Or is there a better way to set this up? Comments/criticism about the purchases?
