Expert please advise if this type of CPU can be removed. I did not find normal socket on the board.
I have a higher frequency CPU that is of similar type, but only if i can remove existing one first.

Thanks~

Register or log in to remove.

Yes you can.
The pins are attached to the socket and the female cpu plugs into it, the cpu will come out cleanly, if you slowly jack it up with a flat screw driver, be careful to not scratch the board.

Hi cruiseoveride,

Do you mean the CPU is pinless, but with many holes on it? If that is the case, normal pinned CPU will not fit into this type of special socket?

I highly doubt you can remove that cpu, because it looks like a BGA package type, which are soldered on to the motherboard.
