ETA price drop for 8800 GTX in Q4?

I think there wont be much of price drop im guessing $50 to $60 drop on 8800 GTX when nvidia release there 8900 series on Q4

The reason im asking this question i've been looking on ebay for used 8800 gtx card some of them are going around for $400 :pt1cable:

Good question but I think you should do some more digging before jumping to the conclusion that the 89xx series is even on the way let alone if the 8800's will drop. No offense intended but I realised after reading the article that I had read it before.

Have a look at the date of that "breaking news" its from the 15/02/2007, I mean if NV was ready to depoly these fantastic cards at any point why not do it in the last 6 months ...

But Im with you on the price drop, Im wating for them to shave another 50 or 60 off before I make the jump, keep your eyes open.
